Khubaib Shabbir
I build AI orchestrators, teams, and loops that replace roles, departments, and even companies.
A repeat founder, CTO, systems architect, knowledge architect, trainer and researcher who takes products end-to-end — planning, architecture, hard code, testing, cloud deployment, support, documentation, training and leadership. I build role-replacing AI systems and real-time, distributed, multi-tenant products across web, mobile, desktop, embedded, edge, cloud, networking, VoIP, IoT, drones, robotics, industrial, blockchain and enterprise systems. I am equally at home in routing and switching, agentic AI, knowledge systems, and messy production operations. I am the one counted on to put out fires: analytical, calm, stubborn about solving the hard problem, and able to lead people from associates to experts while shipping the thing. A consistent early mover, 5× co-founder, 7× CTO, inventor, mentor, and a jack of all trades and a master of some.
Signals
Flagship work
The flagship, one-of-a-kind things I've built — newest first. Filter by kind:
AI Software House now
An AI software house built on loop engineering — self-improving agentic loops that plan → build → test → review → improve and ship real products, humans in the loop. To open-source.
HMWARE
A hive-mind of WhatsApp AI agents for real-estate brokers — multi-agent coordination with shared memory, routing listings, leads, and conversations at scale.
VehicleScanner
An offline-first vehicle-recovery assistant for a bank's defaulted vehicle leases — OCR, camera & live scanning; encrypted signed data packages; admin + mobile roles with offline search & sync.
Anonymous Messaging
An anonymous, trace-free text & email system — letting anyone, anywhere communicate with no identity attached and no traces left behind.
ZerHaul
AI that runs the phone calls and paperwork of U.S. car-hauling logistics, supervised by humans — voice + browser agents behind approval gates. Co-founded; led as CTO & interim CEO to a successful acquisition.
MIPS CQM AI
A browser-automation agent that logs into physicians' practice-management systems (PMS) to find numerator-matching clinical data for MIPS Clinical Quality Measures; the denominator side handled by automation.
Truck Dispatch & Brokerage AI
Voice & browser AI agents, orchestrated, that run truck dispatching and load brokerage — matching loads to carriers across the workflow.
Atlas Support Bot
A support AI for L1/L2 triage — classify → RAG over the KB → draft → gate → escalate — with senior specialists kept in the loop for judgment and handoff.
Data Agent
The organisation's Data Agent — natural-language questions to queries & analysis over enterprise data; built for, and used by, the COO's team.
VP Finance AI
An autonomous agent for a mergers-and-acquisitions (Acquisitions & Imports) pipeline — intake, workflow, and decision support.
VentureCoPilot
Generative-AI for venture-capital due diligence — a scrape → OCR → vectorize → RAG pipeline over document-heavy analysis, plus the first chatbot/agents.
Quarannect → Civilment
Quarannect connected people in quarantine to what they needed; it evolved into Civilment — mobilising ordinary citizens to do the work the state couldn't.
BynUp — Aquaculture Platform
A unified aquaculture platform — knowledge-sharing, e-commerce & resource planning — with IoT water-quality sensors, drones, and ML models on an Apache Pulsar backbone; computerized hatcheries that raised survival rates of non-local Pangasius larvae. Co-founded as CTO; led remote support, technical-writing & customization teams.
Servii
A hyperlocal services platform — "Uber for all work types" — matching people to local work of every kind.
Signature moments
Character over CV lines — where judgment, nerve, or ingenuity mattered. Most recent first.
Built it, led it, sold it · 2026
Co-founded ZerHaul — human-in-the-loop AI for U.S. car-hauling logistics — and ran it as CTO and interim CEO of the parent, through to a successful acquisition.
Handed the hardest systems · 2019
At Trilogy I was named “The Extreme L2” — consistently given the most technically complex acquired systems and the toughest legacy knowledge to import, and made lead of the Imports team. 97% quality, 100% target.
Shipped it into an incubator · 2016
Built PatientConcern — real-time doctor scheduling & patient records over XMPP — for a medical-services start-up; the product reached Pakistan's Plan9 tech incubator.
Beat the giants on merit · 2013
Won a major project for MDateInternational against larger, established firms (Qurop et al.) purely on the quality of my design — and was offered a 10% stake to deliver it end-to-end.
Turned it around, then sold it · 2012
I took a partnership in a declining training institute and moved from Lahore to Peshawar to revive it — restructured its business fronts and won hospital-network projects, enabling a sale of the revitalised business within six months.
Saved overnight — doubted first · 2011
At ePay UK I caught that a partner (Nomi Mobile) had filed for bankruptcy and pushed to block their transactions. I was ridiculed internally and by ePay's own team that night; by the next day, internal and external top management were thanking me — and my shift was exempted from monitoring for the save.
Promoted while still in training · 2010
Hired as an agent for a new campaign and, while still in training, promoted to supervise the new campaign and shift.
The one they sent the hard ones to · 2010
At ePay UK the CEO nicknamed me “The Champ,” personally forwarding me every challenge no one else would touch — the ones the floor had given up on.
The answer nobody else found · 2009
During PTCL's 7→8-digit number switch, the record system broke. By changing a single URL parameter I could still pull records — while 1500+ colleagues on the national helplines (1236/1217/1218) were turning customers away. Every rep used my workaround until the dev team patched it.
Pioneering & firsts
Things I built earlier than or at par with the world.
An AI software house on loop engineering — self-improving plan→build→test→review→improve.
Human-in-the-loop autonomous logistics (voice + browser agents).
Role-replacing AI in production — Atlas support triage and a Data Agent for a COO.
GenAI + RAG for VC due diligence — early enterprise GenAI.
Citizen-mobilising civic tech during Covid (Quarannect → Civilment).
Aquaculture IoT + drones + computerized hatcheries in Pakistan.
Apache Pulsar as an IoT backbone — Pulsar was brand-new (Apache TLP 2018).
SIP + XMPP on carrier-grade VoIP/UC (Broadsoft) — enterprise real-time UC ahead of the curve.
Mobile SoCs with CPU + GPU + AI-unit + FPGA — before mainstream mobile NPUs (2017).
Off-grid, serverless, numberless P2P — U.S. provisional patent, alongside the earliest mesh-messaging wave.
Android running in cars — before Android Auto (2014).
In-browser real-time voice/video on XMPP + WebRTC, before it went mainstream.
The through-line
Across support floors, telecom networks, messaging platforms, cement plants, aquaculture sensors, enterprise AI and logistics agents, the constant problem has been coordination under uncertainty: capture state, preserve context, route work, verify risk, and hand off cleanly when humans need to stay in the loop.
The first lessons came from live ops: tickets, calls, outages, POS and telecom work fail when context disappears and nobody can see ownership.
XMPP, WebRTC, AMQP, SIP and Broadsoft turned people and devices into addressable participants: presence, routing, call control, escalation and handoff.
The P2P patent and Servii pushed coordination lower and wider: communication without fragile central dependency, and work flowing as a real-time engine.
CMMS/HSE/PLC systems and acquired SaaS imports turned operational chaos into mapped workflows, runbooks, knowledge bases and recoverable state.
Apache Pulsar + MQTT carried aquaculture telemetry from sensors and drones into decisions: the physical world becoming a stream of actionable state.
Venture due diligence, Atlas and the Data Agent moved the pattern into AI: retrieve context, reason over state, draft action, gate risk, escalate judgment.
Voice and browser agents for car-hauling logistics made automation operational: act in external systems, pause at approval gates, and keep humans in control.
The current step applies the same architecture to software itself: agentic loops that plan, build, test, review, learn and ship under human supervision.
